The Chathive Chrome extension is designed to keep your assistant by your side, no matter where you are on the web. It allows you to consult the fiscal knowledge base or chat with an agent without ever having to switch tabs or leave the software you are currently working in.

Why use the extension?

Multitasking: Open a sidebar while working on tax returns or using other specialized web software.

Seamless access: No need to navigate back to the Chathive web app every time you have a question.

Full functionality: You can still upload documents, start new chats, and access your history directly within the sidebar.
How to install the extension

Locate the link: In the Chathive web app, go to the Chat tab. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link for the Chrome extension.

Visit the store: Clicking the link will take you to the Chrome Web Store.

Note: While it is called the Chrome extension, it is fully compatible with Microsoft Edge as well.

Add to browser: Click the button to install the extension.

Pin for easy access: Once installed, click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions) in the top right corner of your browser. Find Chathive AI Assistant and click the pin icon. This ensures the Chathive logo stays visible next to your address bar for one-click access.
How to use the sidebar

Open/Close: Simply click the pinned Chathive icon to slide the assistant in or out.

Chat & Upload: Type your questions or drag and drop files directly into the sidebar just as you would in the full app.

History: Use the icons within the extension to start a New chat or browse your Chat history.
Troubleshooting
If the extension doesn't appear to load correctly after installation, try refreshing your current browser tab or logging in again via the main chathive.app website to sync your credentials.
